This program is rooted in the practical experience of ASISTIM’s Dispatch Center, ensuring relevance to real-world operational challenges while meeting regulatory and organizational requirements.

 

Three-Part Modular Approach

To provide comprehensive coverage, the Dispatch Refresher Program is divided into three focused modules, delivered cyclically:

 

MODULE A: Fundamentals of Operational Management

  • Meteorology: Atmospheric dynamics, weather forecasts, and their impact on aviation.
  • Navigation: Aeronautical charts, airspace management, and navigation systems.
  • Air Law & Regulations: Current regulatory frameworks, including ICAO and IOSA standards.
  • Dispatch Resource Management: Human factors, teamwork, decision-making, and effective communication in operational contexts.

 

MODULE B: Aircraft Performance and Systems

  • Principles of Flight & Aircraft Performance: Aerodynamic fundamentals and performance metrics.
  • Aircraft Systems and Functions: Electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems, MEL applications.
  • Mass & Balance: Load control, weight limitations, and safety principles.

 

MODULE C: Advanced Operational Skills

  • Flight Planning & Monitoring: Route optimization, fuel calculations, and ETOPS requirements.
  • Air Traffic Management: Controlled airspace, ATC coordination, and slot management.
  • Communication: Aviation-specific communication protocols and emergency handling.
  • Security & Dangerous Goods: Current regulations, classifications, and handling procedures.
